September 9 — Unity Worldwide Ministries – World Day of Prayer Service — 7:15 to 8:15pm.  This is a very special annual service that will be led by John Farman, Licensed Unity Teacher. Throughout the Unity Movement on this day, world-wide we will come together for prayers of healing, peace and oneness. Prayer Chaplains provide hands-on silent prayer at your request.  Bonnie Aby coordinates this service.

September 9 — Unity World Day of Prayer – 12:01am to 12:00pm

Seventeen years ago, Unity created World Day of Prayer as a global effort to uplift ourselves … our loved ones … our world in a shared prayer consciousness. Since that time, more than 15 million people have received prayer support through this sacred initiative. This year’s theme, “Living in the Flow,” reminds us that the Divine is within us, ever-present and active. Unity In Marin’s 24-hour prayer vigil will be held in the Meditation Chapel. We invite up to 48 people to pray over the prayer lists of our congregants. If you can bless us with your presence, sign up in the courtyard.

September 10 — For the Next 7 Generations Film Screening — 7:00pm

In 2004, thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers from all four corners of the earth, moved by their concern for our planet, came together at an historic gathering, where they decided to form an alliance - this is their story. Facing a world in crisis, this film documents their unparalleled journey and timely perspectives on timeless wisdom.  For the Next 7 Generations follows what happens when wise women unite!  Join us in UIM's Sanctuary on Friday Night for a showing of the film and discussion. September 11 — UIM'S Second Annual Peace Symposium and Kids Peace Kamp: Celebrating Oneness — 9:00am to 5:00pm, Keynote Speaker Patricia Sun, 7:00 to 8:30 pm @ Unity in Marin

September 12 — Tribal Elders Meeting — 1:00pm

Don’t miss the presentation "Putting the You in UIM,” an overview of smart, caring, and secure ways to deal with life's two inevitable… Death & Taxes. Learn how you can help yourself while helping the people and community you love. Presentation will include excerpts from the PBS series "Stay Rich for Life," plus creative & pragmatic ideas from Ken Thurman, MBA, ChFC & current Chairperson of UIM's Legacy program.

September 12 — "Healing Your Heart : The Seven Laws of Spiritual Divorce"  Workshop — 1:00-4:00pm

 This enlightening workshop is led by Jeff Malone, a senior faculty member for Debbie Ford's Institute for Transformational Training. We will examine the value of acceptance, surrender, responsibility and forgiveness as a path of transformation, divorce recovery and relationship conflict resolution. Cost of the workshop is $25. There are two subsequent Tuesday evenings, Sept 21st and 28th for further in-depth book study, discussion and support facilitated by Joanne Rikli. September 13 — Ecos Circle — 7:15pm

Join us on a journey with cosmologist Dr. Brian Swimme into the Powers of the Universe that have been active since the beginning of time and are available to use right now. We will view Brian's video on the Ninth Power of the Universe--Interrelatedness. Then we will discuss one of the great challenges of our time: how can we activate our own sense of interrelatedness and caring for others to extend beyond our species to encompass all life and the Earth itself? As we continue our Web of Life Project, Bill Carney will introduce us to the species he has chosen and we will welcome that species to our extended family. Come join us. Experience the joy of recognizing that you are the Universe while we explore together what 'caring' means from a cosmological perspective.

September 14 & 21 — A Two-Session Class in Miles McKey Meditation Garden — 1:15 to 3:15 pm

Session I- Sketch and Write: You will find a “magic spot” in the garden for sketching and writing. Session II: Poetry in the Garden: We will read poetry about nature then write our own poems. All are welcome. No special writing or drawing skills required. There will be an awning set up in the garden. Sign up in the courtyard today. September 15 — Prayer Circle — 7:15 t0 8:30pm 

Join the drop-in Prayer Circle facilitated by Prayer Chaplain Ric Lobosco in us in the Meditation Chapel. Experience silent meditation, sharing prayer requests, praying together and noticing how answered prayer has blessed our lives. This is an opportunity to deepen your awareness of Spirit, thus enriching your life by the inspiration of prayer magnified by participating with other spiritual companions.

September 15 — Drum Circle — 7:15 - 9:00pm

UIM Drum Keepers invite you to join the drumming circle which meets in the Sanctuary.  This is a prayerful experience which connects us to our bones, heartbeat and the natural rhythms of body and spirit.  Please bring any extra drums or rhythm instruments you might share with others. Drummers of all ages welcome.  Rita McClain is the creator and coordinator for our drumming circle.

September 19 — Perfect Vision 2020 Meeting — 1:00 to 3:00pm

Sign up online or in the courtyard to attend our next visioning meeting.  The summer meetings will be very helpful to you in creating your personal vision as well as our own community vision.  We have planned these meetings for YOU!  We invite you to add your magic to our community visions and excite in the inspirations we will create together.  Lunch will be served to those who sign up. We invite you to listen to Spirit in you, honor it, and give it expression.  We see Unity In Marin in the year 2020 wholly supporting your experience of Spirit, encouraging and assisting in the realization of your authentic, personal visions. Preregistration is required as we need to know how many lunches to order. September 22 — Wednesday Night Live! — 7:15 to 8:30pm

This is a jubilant celebratory high-energy worship experience!  A live band and an array of talented musicians will inspire and lift us in a vibration of love.  Gospel, pop, jazz, it will all be here this summer!   Bring a friend!  The message that evening will be given by longtime Unity member Karen Rafton!  ALL ARE WELCOME!  Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, you may want to dance! Oh yeah, this if fun!!

October 8-10 — Men’s Retreat

The men at Unity Church of Today in Carson City, NV, have extended an invitation to join them at a men’s weekend retreat on October 8-10, at the Lakeview Lodge at Zephyer Point on Lake Tahoe. The retreat will focus on the spiritual and material sides of prosperity. See the flyer in the Courtyard for more details. September 29 — Special Fifth Wednesday Service - Crystal Singing Bowls — 7:15 to 8:30pm

Toning Meditation guided by John Farman, Licensed Unity Teacher,. in the Sanctuary.  Please bring a pillow or a blanket -- you are welcome to lie down during parts of the service!  All are welcome!
