
Unity In Marin Administrative Requests
To all teachers, presenters and leaders at UIM:
This will be your new starting point for all of your events, services, classes and workshops.
This new format is designed to help us help you by streamlining the process for getting information to the admin, tech staff, marketing and other related persons.
Please note that this is a work in progress and we will be updating this page and the request form as determine ways in which they can better serve us all.
Courtyard Promotion:
If you are requesting permission to have a table in the courtyard to promote your event, please indicate on the request form the times and dates you would like to request. Once you have the OK - please note the new proceedure for Sunday morning:
Please show up by 10am so that you will have at least 1/2 hour before the 9:30 service is finished. When you arrive, please talk to the on-duty custodian and/or the on-duty admin about what size table you need and where you would like to set up. They will work with you to try to find a placement that will fit into the day's activities and give you the most exposure. If you need a sign in sheet, pens, markers or other supplies, they will be located in the office supply closet all the way to the right in the admin.
Classroom/Workshop Setup:
You will notice on the form that you can order large resources like podiums, flip charts, tv/dvd setup, etc.. Smaller resources like pens, pencils, love offering baskets, name tags, sign in sheets, etc will be found in the supply closet in the admin. These supplies will be kept stocked by the admin team. There will also be a supply order form there where you can request any special supplies that you might need. Please make sure that you put the unused supplies back in the closet when your class if over so that they will be there for the next event where they are needed.
What about Tech Support?
If you are planning a larger event or a service and you need to have sound in the sanctuary or Unity Hall, please choose both "sound system" and "sound tech" in the resources section. Also, please email techministry@unityinmarin.org and copy Ric Lobosco at spirit@riclobosco.com to notify us and to describe your needs.
Who do I go to for help with Marketing/PR my event?
Our newly forming marketing team would like to help you by going over any marketing materials you are planning to use and helping to streamline the message. We can also help you to determine whether and how to promote your event throught the press and other channels. Please email marketing@unityinmarin.org. Other than larger events, we won't be able to necessarily market the event FOR you at this point, but we can certainly consult with you to co-create a plan that will work.
